Just took the 08 M1000 out for the first time the last weekend, the sled ran fine except it had a flat spot at around 6000rpm. Anyone else have this problem?

Check powervalve operation.

Pull it through a series of hard acceleration events, build some pipe heat. Generally just be mean to it and see if your flat spot changes, that may be all it is. The 08 mapping favors aggressive riding.

That would depend on your riding style and primary use altitude. At 10k I prefer 77g cat arms with a slight undercut and an 046 belt on a stocker.
