Anyone done a 700 bottom end and a 800 top end?

just wondering if anyone on here has used a 700 bottom end and an 800 top end to make a 780 and if so how it runs

or if you know someone who has :face-icon-small-win

I don't know about the 700 bottom end, but a friend of mine has a 600HO bottom end with the 800 top end. It seems to run better that the 800's I've seen. It has no porting done to it either. Three seasons on it now with the last season haveing a turbo on it.

thanks for the info. i think they are pretty much the same bottom ends. Do you know who did his machine work?

I might be wrong or just dumb. The 700 and pre '04 800 cases have the same part number. But the top half of the 700 case will not accept 800 jugs because it's too small.
