Our PROMAX INDUCTION SYSTEM for the 2018 M8000 is the best way to get cold air to your motor. Not only that, but it drops 6-7 lbs of weight and looks great too!
The air is drawn from a few different places, the nose above and in front of the shocks, and then behind the dashplate.
Comes with the cold air intake hood with frogskins over the intakes, the dashplate, and windshield.

Please explain the left circle.
Is that a problem we will encounter with the 2018 plastics?

Am i the only one that is concerned that the panel is not closing properly?
That is right above the clutch, show will fall through that gap!

I see what you are seeing and agree with you.

Hey. Come oon.. Its not just put right on place...
That's the question....
Was it not installed correctly?
Is it truly that simple?
Is special attention required every time the panel is installed?
Did it pop out while riding?
Is this going to be an area of concern?
Do we need to check that the panels haven't moved every time we stop the sled?

Does anyone remember the 2012 M800?
The panels let all kinds of snow in while riding!

Easy killer.

Have you ever done business with ssi/bdx?

I'm guessing no, b/c In my experience they aren't the type of company that's gonna put out something like you described above and if they do, they work hard to fix it.

Or you did and are mad about something and are trolling.

Either way, take a deep breath. You'll live longer.

I never thought it had anything to do with BDX, it's the 2018 cat plastics that i am asking about.

The pic happens to be posted by BDX with their light weight parts.

I am hoping it was just assembled incorrectly?

I have 350 miles on mine. The plastics are awesome. The side panels are cake to put on and take off. All you have to do is grab the panel near where the gas tank is, pull up a little and snap it on. Two twists of the clips and you're done. I have ridden in lots of powder, and this sled will not ingest snow. Like zero.

No, I don't know how they did that. Mine have gone together correctly and easily Everytime and by everyone who has done it.

Carlc, is it easy to assemble incorrectly, like the pic above?

snowmow

i didnt get the back of the panels fitted in correctly the first time i took them off, but it was no big deal.
you should really just take a quick stroll down to pascoe and check one out.
oh, or see if you can ride one next weekend, they are doing demo day up ahtaneum i believe.

Hopefully it's not the aftermarket intake that's not allowing it to fit correctly? That would differently cause me to shy away from it. Yeah

I played with some 18's this last weekend.
If you grab the top of the panel when removing it, the first little 'pop' and it looks just like the pic. Keep pulling and the panel comes off.

So my question is how much does a stock headlight weigh? And why can't this hood come with the option of using the factory headlight?

Couple pounds at most. I think the whole point of this hood is to replace the headlight (for the guys that want the headlight delete look and weight loss) and still have more air draw than just the two little holes. With a stock headlight and hood you already have that draw volume so the kit wouldn't be gaining anything. Can't really draw off the dash like that when there is a headlight underneath it between the vent and the intake.

I would have to wear ear plugs if i did their intake. It is loud and annoying! I rode a sled that was light weight up front, u can really tell a difference and i liked it a lot but friken loud! I'll keep my light and my hearing thanks.
