Fix for vent tube on VES solenoid

P
Don't know if this has been done but wanted to have a container to catch the mess that comes out of the vent tube for the VES. Thought of what Dodge did on the older Cummins with that catch bottle on the breather on the front of the engine. I know people just bypass the solenoid but I want to keep everything hooked up. The bottle fits perfectly in where the tube would just vent. I put breather holes in it so as to not create pressure. No more mess in the body panels.

Good idea overall.

I roll my sled over occasionally to get it unstuck. I'm afraid if there was much residue in the catch bottle it would find its way out defeating the purpose of the bottle. If you don't roll it to get it out it may work just fine.

Here's what I did with my vent tube. There's a small hole in the plastic right above the front upper A-arm mount that I filed out just enough that the hose fits through with a little resistance. Here's a pic of it - notice upper front A-arm mount and you'll see the hose sticking out. No more nasty azz mess in the belly pan.

Letting it leak out to the environment? Don't let the EPA find out. I just wanted something to that would make the mess as small as possible. I think anything is better then just having the tube puke all over the plastic.
