They should really put a sign up on that hole! Looks like a few guys will have sore ribs from that.

Why does most of the hills for the RMHA have so little snow on them?

Man, that stuff is crazy gnarly...

Doesn't last long when 300 sleds a day run up the same spot :crutch: They Doo try to monitor conditions as far as safety is concerned and make gate changes as applicable. And the snow absolutely SUCKS this year. The lower elevation race sites really suffer vs. the ski areas that have a really compressed snow pack. Afton is particularly gnarly due to the fact that there is very limited space to set up courses for 3 days of racing. Each day = new course + course changes throughout so space goes quick. Most of the 'brick wall' crashes are from the ruts from previous days. Snow softens up and gets bermed out real deep. Freezes overnight into a solid mass and then we have to try and get over them. Couple that with stumps, ice, and rocks and the results are usually very entertaining (although painful for some riders). This hill IS the next closest experience to racing up Snow King Mountain. True test of skill and luck.

If you want to see real entertainment, show up and watch the turbos go up. Crazy mo-fos.........
