I guess this is probably more of a question for Admin. or moderators but is there any plan on adding an "850 Axys section" ??? There's a 900 section and an IQ section???

It would also be nice for the future when trying to search a specific topic on the 850, and be able to lessen the amount of non related information in your search.

Or maybe.......members don't want this separated, I guess that's why I'm asking.

I think it makes sense to have Axys 800 and Axys 850. There are enough changes between the two of them. AC has a section just for 2018 Ascender.

I guess that's what my thoughts were as well, plus it makes searching "Axys threads" easier and more direct.

Heres my take for what it's worth.

The 850 is still an AXYS mountain sled... shares the same chassis with the 800's and the 600's for 2019.

The 900/700/600 for 2006/05 was a unique chassis for those years and are covered there.

The IQ "Dragon Chassis" was a serious departure from the 900/700/600 even though the 2005/06 was labeled an IQ chassis (just as the 'Racer' was an IQ chassis).

Having an 850, and a 800 and a 600 AXYS forum doesn't make much sense to me.... since it is still in the same chassis.

We didn't need a Dragon 800 forum when the 800-CFi was released as a new engine in the existing "RAW" Dragon Chassis ....

IMO, this is a analogous situation with the 840 in the existing AXYS-mtn chassis.

That would be like breaking out the 600's from the 850's in the Rev-G4 section.

IMO... nothing that really differentiates a 2019 850-mtn... other than an available different engine and wiring harness.

I, for one, really don't want be looking in two different sections for the same chassis info... regardless of the power plant.

BTW... It's not up to me or other mods in the end.

My 2¢... and there is a lot of other cents out there too.

I agree on the above.

However there is even less difference between the 12 xp and the 13xm 800etec.

The different sections for xp and xm make much less sense.

So
that is pretty much the reason why I did not create a brand new sub-forum for the 850.

While I am a big fan of compartmentalized information, I also appreciate that each time we create a new compartment, we BREAK UP a part of the community.

Its a double edged sword.

This is a good reason to separate them. Search is a powerful feature when you can pick your forum groups.

ok so not to be a dick but...........

can't we request a 850 section and if enough paying members want it then it is ! right ?

these forums are completely beneficial for all here because
ummm we're here right? (members) helping each other
pushing limits without that what is there?
much less I would argue

my 0.2

ps this is in no way a rebuttal to MH
who I think is a bonus to this forum
just a different take

Well......... first and foremost, I didn't mean to stir anything up here, just posed the question and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were.

Everyone brings up valid points for both directions. I merely looked at some of the other separations and considered the future when someone does a search. Obviously the information will continue to flow in and compile either way.

Honestly, I am good either way.

I was feeling the same way. Hopefully admin will survey the field here in this thread and make a decision on that. I got the feeling that "staffers" here were reluctant to add this in for us.
