The 2015 Ski-Doo sleds.

What’s New for Ski-Doo 2015

uveseby5.jpg

New RAS 2 front suspension:
Changes to the front end on most REV-XS sleds and the Summit X with T3 packages improve performance, reduce weight and add style. Geometry
changes add straight-line confidence in handling big bumps.

Summit X with T3 package:

New feature package dramatically increases traction and flotation
of the already nimble Summit mountain sled, thanks to standard 3 in. (7.62 cm) track lugs and a choice of 163 in. (414 cm) or monster 174 in. (442 cm) track length. There’s also a host of new technologies and weight-saving efforts, including longer chain case, redesigned muffler, revised cooling system, Pilot DS 3 skis and tMotion rear suspension improvements.

Renegade X-RS package:

Extreme crossover riders now have their ideal sled, with this Racing Special version. It shares many features with the MX Z X-RS race sled to easily handle bumps and jumps, including KYB PRO 40 shocks and key reinforcements.

Refinement of Renegade models:

Based on consumer feedback, all trail-oriented Renegade sleds’ tracks are 15 in. (38 cm)wide, sharpening trail handling and reducing weight. Backcountry packages are more focused, with changes to improve off-trail performance, including 16 in. (42 cm)-wide track with FlexEdge technology and two-wheel rear axle, plus Summit-style large running board openings.

Rotax 900 ACE engine expansion:

Expedition SE, Expedition LE, Skandic WT and Skandic SWT buyers can now opt for this award winning, reliable, hard working and fuel-sipping lightweight four-stroke engine package. They also enjoy all the benefits of Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) technology.

Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) technology expansion:

Sleds with the Rotax 600 ACE engine are now equipped with the same iTC technology and benefits as the 900 ACE: instant throttle response, light throttle pull, Sport/Standard/ECO driving modes and Learning Key functionality.

ACE Finger throttle:
The throttle block on all sleds with ACE family engines can be rotated for operation as a traditional thumb throttle or watercraft-style finger throttle. Owners will appreciate the ability to vary their hand position on long rides.

RF DESS Key:

Most 2015 Ski-Doo sleds feature a new Digitally Encoded Security System (DESS) key/tether with Radio Frequency (RF) technology. Its ball and socket design ensures solid, consistent contact.

Expansion of technologies and features:
Sport models featuring the 600 ACE are built on the REV-XS platform while other in-season models include the RAS 2 front suspension and modern handlebar controls.

Cutting edge colorations and decals:
To make the 2015 sleds appear as innovative and cutting-edge as the technology inside, the 2015 Ski-Doo line-up features styling and colors that make a statement. The colors are truly bold and boundary pushing, as are new water-dipped graphics, a first in the snowmobile industry.

2015 Ski-*Doo Summit
Ask any veteran mountain rider and they’ll tell you that the key to powder riding–especially not getting stuck–is momentum. With the combination of the REV-XM platform, tMotion rear suspension and Rotax E-TEC engines, BRP’s Ski-Doo Summit mountain snowmobiles have built serious momentum over the past two seasons. All those mountain -specific elements have combined to deliver the most agile mountain snowmobiles while also proving to be the most reliable, which in harsh backcountry conditions this is key to the rider experience.

BRP will accelerate that momentum with a remarkable new sled for 2015, the Summit X with T3 package. It includes standard 3 in. (7.62 cm) track lugs with either 163 or 174 track choices for never-before-experienced traction and flotation. The T3 package also includes refinements to several systems to reduce weight, such as a lightweight muffler, optimized cooling system, lighter rear suspension components and new front suspension.

2015 Ski-Doo Freeride
There are sleds built to fit “most” riders. There are high-value, special edition sleds. And then there are sleds built for no-compromise-push-the-envelope-type riders–the ones that want to make a statement with substance as much as style. That’s where the 2015 Ski-Doo Freeride sled comes in.

It’s not just going your own way off the trail or in the steep and deep, but going big. That’s why BRP based the Freeride on the strong REV-XM RS chassis and equipped it with stout KYB Pro-40 shocks. This is a machine that’s built for those at the extreme end of the spectrum.

It’s also a sled with colors and style that isn’t for the meek or mild. BRP realizes that many riders in this genre will add their personal touches with decals, wraps and graphics, so we provide a bold starting point–even for those that leave their machine stock.

Going big or bold isn’t limited to the snow conditions in your back yard, so the Freeride is offered in three track lengths, 154, 146 and 137 inch (391, 371, and 348 cm), to meet the needs of extreme riders everywhere. With all the proven benefits of tMotion and FlexEdge working for the 154 and 146 variants already, the 137 now adds FlexEdge track technology and a two-wheel rear axle to make deep snow play even more fun.

All three lengths get the revered Rotax 800R E-TEC engine, to deliver the industry’s most specialized snowmobile for deep snow extreme riding.

New for 2015

2015 Ski-Doo Renegade
Snowmobilers are craving longer tracked “crossover” sleds more than ever before due to their versatility and comfort. Their long tracks help bridge bumps and disperse jolts more efficiently on trails; and sleds’ lighter weight and agility make playing easier and more enjoyable than ever for those who want to go their own way.

The Ski-Doo Renegade has been leading the way since the beginning, by listening to and observing our customers usage to deliver the first OEM crossover. And it widens its lead for2015 with many refinements that improve its precision and comfort even more.

As increasing numbers of consumers move to crossovers, more are asking for increasingly specialized sleds to fit their riding style. BRP is listening and further specializes the 2015Renegades. Riders staying mostly on the trails wanted more cornering ability and top speed, so BRP is going to a standard 15 in (38 cm) track width on trail-oriented packages. The more free riding Renegade Backcountry packages keep their 16 in (42 cm) wide PowderMax tracks and add deep snow features such as FlexEdge track technology, two wheel rear axles and more open running boards.

Nearly every model also gets a new front suspension that is lighter and adds precision in extreme bumps. That’s a perfect addition to a new 2015 Renegade offering: the race sled-bred Renegade X-RS package. It’s basically the Ski

-Doo terrain racing sled with a longer track and some modifications to make it consumer-friendly.
