Got the Diamond S hood installed for real & went out for a ride with it today, VERY happy. Runs exactly like stock, no issues, and fits real nice once I got it on all the way! Had to trade off with my wife, as we're waiting for her 14 to come in (finally sold her 12 cat YAAAAAYYYY!!!!) she'll be putting one on the 14 as well it seems, she liked it.

Just for claififaction

We have been in contact with teamcasslake, to clarify things a bit teamcasslake has a race program delivered sled that has had all the body work changed out to consumer level panels.
This may be why he is having issues ,he also has said that he was surprised at how thick the hood material is and thought it could be lighter.

We have installed a hand full of our new xm hoods on consumer delivered sleds and have had no fitment issues, the hood mounts like stock with stock hardware, and the side panels open and close with no issues.

Our hood with our complete air intake setup weighs 5 pounds 2 oz. stock gauge adds 1pound 5oz. By adding our led light kit you can have a complete fully functioning hood that is 11pounds 5 oz lighter than the stock setup.

Thank you, Mtn. Fit

Does anyone know of any stator problems running without a headlight? Is just keeping on the bar and thumbwarmers provide adequate draw?

On another forum someone called ski doo tech And they said you needed a draw on the stator,

On all my mod sleds I wire 2 hand Warmers into the headlight sockets and stick them to the pyramid

C3 Powersports hood

C3 Powersports Carbon Fibre hood. Fit and finish is excellent unlike other hoods. Best looking hood on the market. There is a 13 lb weight loss with this hood and it has headlight and airbox options!

I'd Like to see a hood that could use the BRP Led light kit. it would still work with your stock hi/lo beam switch and its very bright.

I mostly want a hood thats fast and easy to remove.

the ski doo mod headlight delete looks like it could still use the ski doo led light.

i was thinking that but didnt want to spend that money on that light
