Need help finding a part

Need some help tracking down a part for my sled, it’s at the dealer for a chaincase issue, the bolt holes were stripping out and the case was leaking oil, dealer is fixing it under warranty and replacing everything, but they can’t seem to get 1 part, they have ordered it 3 times and the bag or box they are getting has the right Part number on it but the part inside the package all 3 times has been the wrong one, it’s for an XS chassis not the G4.

They have opened a case with Ski-Doo and they are finding that they packaged up the wrong parts and are going through their inventory to correct it and get the right one. They don’t know how long it’s going to be until they can get the correct part to the dealer.

I called ski doo customer service this morning which didn’t help anything, they couldn’t tell me anything other than it’s in the dealers hands to push the issue, they couldn’t give a timeline or anything and it’s already been elevated.

I know I can order it from several places online but without someone doing a visual and verifying it’s the correct part and not the one for an xs chassis, there isn’t any sense to order it.

Anyone have any ideas or a lead on where we could find the right part?

Part no. 504153560 “plate assy”

It's pretty easy to put heli coils in the chaincase. Would get you back on the snow, if you can't get that part reasonably quickly.

I would agree but they already have the sled apart and they said they can’t put it back together without the plate, I’m goin there tomorrow to take a look at what they are talking about and hopefully make a template to cut a plate that will work

you need that piece even for the belt drive. that piece goes on the inside of the tunnel and does have all the attaching bolts on it that secure the chaincase to the sled. So yes it's important, however if the deal didn't remove the bolts from the tunnel one could reuse however I wouldn't advise it, they seem to be a one use deal and are very soft.

Ended up making my own piece to get the sled back together, dropping off with them today should have my sled back soon, one picture is of the piece they kept receiving, only 2 of the studs lined up with the chaincase. Still can’t believe it had to come to this for such a simple part.
