Greetings snowmobilers,
I am fairly new to snowmobiling and I am want to finally get a sled. I have rented 2 times here in Colorado and stayed on groomed trails. Now I am finally in a position, financially, to pull the trigger on a sled. I have two delays though before I buy a sled; 1. I need to take an avalanche safety course. 2. I currently have zero people to ride with. Are their groups organized prior to meeting at trailheads? I live in Lakewood, CO. and have a 13 F150, 4x4, 5.0, 6.5 ft bed.
I thought I wanted a tandem sled for me and my girlfriend to put around the trails near Grand Lake. The dealer steered me away from that and I am looking at RMK163". I am 6'5 and 300lbs.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Wes
