Want to take rear and maybe front track shocks off for a revalve

Hi All, I did some searches but could not find what I was looking for. If I take the rear track shock only, can I just remove the top and bottom bolts from the shock (with the sled off the ground) and pull it out or is it under tension from the front shock?

Are there any videos out there?

Thank you

Yep. Sled lifted just take them off.

If you have a coil on the front you may need to back off the preload a bit and compress just a tad but pretty straightforward.

Skid

Kidwoo is right. In my opinion it is not really that much work to just pull the skid. 2 bolts on the front and 2 on the rear and you can just pull it out. Then while you are getting the shocks rebuilt is easy to change your faxes and maybe an idler wheel or a bearing. All can be done with the skid in place but much easier if it is out. Getting the shocks off with the skid out should also save on the banged up knuckles..
