Im thinking i want to get a m1000 but cant afford a new one so it would have to be an 07 or 08. My question is, is it possible to add the electronic reverse to the older m1000's?
Do a search on here. I remember this question being asked not too long ago. If I remember correctly it would require a new ECU and secondary clutch components.
I think that one of the dealers added up the costs and it was around $1000.
I remember seeing the post as wel but for some reason thought it was closer to $3000. Not sure though. I think if you really want the engine reverse it would be better to buy an 09. The DD reverse isn't as heavy as people think though, it's actually lighter than a conventional chaincase.
