How many miles have you got on it? Any warranty claims, if so did cat take care of it? I’m wanting one bad and swapping from an amazing poo dealer to a very good cat dealer just hope it is what I demoed yesterday and not a pos. So far not much bad to be seen far as I know

Had a couple sticky injectors on my MC during break in that would foul out plugs at start up. Happened 3 times before the 6 hr mark. Now have over 25 hrs and 710 miles and not an issue since. I was a doo guy and couldn’t be happier with this thing. Been riding hard icy trails here in Minnesota and spent 4 days in Island Park 2 weeks ago.

Got water in the plugin on the oil level sensor. Low level light stayed on. Unplugged switch blew water out plugged back in. Been fine, gonna go out and put some dielectric grease in there right now.

Vent on the clutch side panel didn't have any clips installed to hold in place, took 2 clips off the muffler side and put on the clutch side , been fine since.

Exhaust side panel rubs on fuel tank and wire harness plug. I put aluminum tape on there to see if it would slow down the wear.

Fuel tank had a sharp edge (seam) that was chafing the fuel line, i took a file and smoothed the seam.

Put tape on the intake vents. Manufacturer tolerances way out of spec on the top piece(top vents, gauge mount, windshield mount) causes a bow in the plastic when bolted to the intake. I used aluminum tape cause the glue residue is easier to remove than duct tape. Hoping cat will provide a correct fitting part....

440miles, 35hrs. Not a lot of trail riding.

i think there is some minor bugs to work out of the self adjusting secondary but nothing that stops it from whoopin the competition on the hill:face-icon-small-hap
awesome sled. looks like summ8rmk found some more minor stuff maybe will be addressed on the '19?
id check it over well before you ride it no matter how good the dealer is.

My dealer may “sale” me one of the 2019 demos, no freight set up or any other costs. But if not I got a 2018 153, tki, mds clutched w 300 miles lined up for 10,000$. Just gotta wait to see the release then it’s decision time. Just love this new cat I’m blown away by it

Sit tight. I’m sure cat will be coming out with rebates on the 18s after the show. You should be able to get a new one for around $10,000

What do you mean by self adjusting secondary?

He is simply referring to the fact that there is no deflection adjustment. The change for 18 is actually the primary with its center bearing. Cat advertises it as self adjusting belt deflection. Very easy to confuse that with the secondary being the change because the secondary is the clutch you adjust to change belt deflection.

What do you mean by self adjusting secondary?

it is a sweet set up . belt runs pretty tight.center roller bearing on primary keeps sled from moving with a tight belt . pretty much secondary has no deflection adjustment just closes as far as it can.
I put the 18 set up on my 14 with a tied secondary and really like it
