I have a chance to get a 89 or 90 18 foot Nordic boat with a Mercury 200 xr4 outboard for a trade for my turbo Apex.
I am fairly new to boats and am wondering what I should be looking for on the boat and motor?
Boat was painted a couple of years ago.
Does anyone know about or seen a Nordic boat?
Me I have never heard of Nordic....

That style boat is a blast.......for about the first 2-3 tanks of fuel.
Pretty one dimensional.

Fresh paint?
I hope the seller means gelcoat & not paint.
That boat would look like turd in no time if it's been painted.

Doesn't create enough wake to be fun for boarding at all.
Good for skiing, but it seems that nobody skis any more.

Honestly, I would pass.

Just my 2 cents.

a boat like that is worth about $6K in western , MT.

I think you would be getting the short end of the stick

if you do it, do a compression test.
Once that motor needs any major repair, the cost of repair will exceed the value of the motor.

Thanks,I think I will go with your advise and just walk away,I can't see that boat being to useful to me after a couple of blasts across the lake.
