Dont waste your money on a can unless your doing it to mount a muff pot. Muff pot wont fit with shot.

I am adding this one from another thread as it seems like at least as good of an idea as any, and it will be easier to find later in this here thread.

BTW - this is for belt temps.

It sure beats the infrared thermometer. Have you seen any on/off throttle type riding that leaves the belt to slip and shoot the temps up?
This is on my 2014.
Snow depth is the biggest factor.

Long(pinned) climbs create more heat than treed, slalom sidehillig.

Over 2ft of powder and temps are 220-230°f breaking trail on the road.

Spring riding, lots and lots of wheelies avg 180°f or less

Have you seen any difference with venting, belt guard and clutch alignment?

I asked about a gauge on this thread ...

https://snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=442219

Please post there since most replies said not necessary.

Sorry, the one I linked to is for belt temps.
I edited the post.
I didn't realize that it wasn't in the post anywhere.
But if you open the link - it does say so there.

I have a transfer machine that needs a new HMI.
Not interested in dicking with one for a snowmachine....
