Wow. Nasty attack.

ONE swipe from a griz and you are disemboweled. You'd rather take that chance than face a few wolves?
I'd have to think that one over if I had the choice. LOL

Yup I really like my 338 Ultra mag, something about a 225 gr slug at 3100 ftpsec that makes me comfy. Would like to see some pics in about a mth after the stitches are out and the first layer of skin has grown back............

Archery hunters should carry a pistol  most archery hunters ive ever met carry a felony though, thats why they are archery hunting LMAO :D

I pack a pistol and bear spray always. Last year I was hunting the Taylors Fork "area" I hiked up to this place through some scattered snow here and there. When I came back down the same way there were Griz tracks that crossed my tracks twice.

Show me a documented case of wolves attacking an adult human!

At the rate they are multiplying there should be plenty of those soon. A wolf will hunt you where as a bear will most often try and stay away, wolves are way more agressive in general but a bear usually needs somthing to set it off. And like said above if there is 5-6 of them surrounding you you'd be lucky to get 2-3, if your quick, before the others are all over you. With a bear most the time you can do the whole play dead thing or give it something to distract it, this is not so with wolves they will eat their own kind if hurt or killed so why would they think twice about you.

You guys and your pistols. Leave them home and carry a 12 gauge with slugs.

While you're elk hunting. LOL. I don't have time to carry two long guns...unless that scatter gun is only 18" long. HEHE :)
