Have read a whole bunch of good info on the forum, decided i better sign up and hopefully learn even more. have rode sleds most my life some years more and some less. have owned a sled or two. kept them stock. but this go around i decided i want to build a full on mod sled come spring. so i just picked up a bone stock 99 RMK 700 with just over 1k on the odo. Figured it would be a good cheaper sled to learn with.
So far i have Swapped the 136 with a ultra-lite 151 and 2" paddles with ported track, strengthened the steering post and added a riser and new bars, and ditched the sway bar added SLP twins and can. took it out on a few rides and it worked well. minus a vibration under my right foot??? figure this forum could help finger that out. Now it is in a bunch of pieces, trying to find the vibration plus while im at it ill throw on the boss seat and Edge tank. Come spring i want to tear it down to the bulkhead and do a full mod build. Work at a sheet metal/fab shop so that helps.
