3 years after buying a 26' enclosed trailer and building it out (nearly to the day) the trailer has sold.

Time to start thinking about the next one. New trailer is going to be a similar size but take all the lessons learned from this one. More to come on that build...

Looking back on the thread:

It kinda sounds like with the amount of time/money to set this up even somewhat comfortably....a guy could rent hotel rooms for many years, and have none of the hassle/downsides....no?

Trailer ended up paying for itself over the 3 year period. No condo payments. And:

There are no hotels near my favorite trailhead.

You ain't kiddin'! To be cooking eggs and bacon in your slippers while everyone else rolls in is pretty sweet upside. Never had to get ready in a cramped truck or cold trailer either.

I remember being a little nervous after buying the trailer and dumping a bunch of money into supplies...looking back, one of the best decisions I have made. The places we have gone and the people we have met couldn't be done staying at a hotel or a condo.

Only downside to lot camping is waking up with a hangover to lot racer :face-icon-small-dis

See this post. This is my rig and it's set up pretty well exactly how we've needed it to stay in. Works great.

Kevin the owner of Advantage RV's in Watertown SD and I customized it. Insulation all around and sprayfoamed under. 35k atwood and I run a edenpure electric and it's nice. Honda quiet 6500 generator keeps it going.
