So, came up with some cash and want to buy a new sled;
my dealer has;
2009 154 everest w 2 yr waranty 8900
2009 154 x w 1 yr waranty9500
2009 154 aniversary, limited 9650 w 2yr war...

what the best bang for the buck, i can buy the second year waranty on the x for 500 buck but that puts it at 10k. anyone riden an x and an aniverysory to compare. do the ta almn shocks really make 500 to a grad worth of a diff? reasle in a few years? what do you guys think, thanks Bill

I have an 08 Everest 154 and an 09 154x and I can tell you I really like being on my X more but it isnt a huge difference. The X handles the bumps better but I still plan on doing an aftermarket suspension when I can afford it.

I think the bottom line is I like the way my X looks better even though the 08 Everest is still a sharp looking sled. And that may help you in resale, (guys will always pay more for the hot chic - I mean sled)

I'm not a huge fan of the 50th - too much yellow...

I assume they are all new, not used?? I would get the X and knock him around on the price a bit, or get him to throw in some extras....belt, oil, bag, whatever.

It seems that the Everest is the best deal in your list. The "upgrades" on an X aren't worth it because you have to change things anyways, the stock shocks suck for the Everest and the X. That is all you are getting when you buy an X, shocks, decals, low windsheild and a braided brake line.

But, I have seen way better pricing here in the Steamboat area where peeps are buying holdover 09 Everests for 7k.

Yep, 09 everest, use the saved money on a new suspension and you'll have a way better sled than the X. The everest should should be down under 8K by now.

The 50th has the same set up as an x except for the taller windshield. It shoulld also come with the temp gauge/altimeter/lap recorder module. Not to mention the black tunnel. If you dont mind yellow go with the 50th. Besides colors are easy to change.

Hey check Rexburg Motorsports in Idaho it might be worth the 3.5 hour drive. They usually have pretty low prices on sleds.

Last year September was the worst month to buy a sled. There were a lot of 08 holdover sleds sold for under $8000. Maybe they won't be as cheap this year if they cut production, but I'd hold out till you get near $8000 or at least till snow flies.
