Nobody bought that sled when they made it. So I don't follow your logic. Unless they could make it and have it be very similar weight to the 800.

Pretty sure he was jumping on the sarcasm train with his post.

Bingo. But a lot of people bought the M1000 when it came out in 2007 (I was one of them). Oh how I miss the smell of burning belts coupled with deep powder bogging. ;)

But history can repeat itself...we are going 850...now rumors of a 900...will the 1000 happen again? Is like the 2000s all over again!

A 340 CTEC in a REAL mountain chassis would be so cool. We need a real sled that 10-15 yr old kids can ride with us in the nmountains. Make it super light so they can have a chance at getting themselves unstuck, skinny deep lug track so they can keep up and real suspension. Kids gotta dangle too!

I loved every M1000 I owned.
I never had one stock mind you.
The first one a 08 was NA but had cases ported and top end ported by Linderman,It was a beast.
Second one was 09 with Twisted Turbo and Boost It fuel box,it ran perfect.
My last one was a 2011,Twisted Turbo,Boost It box. That was also perfect.
There no replacement for displacement but if they took off 30-40 lbs I would buy another one.

yup.
skip the history repeat and go straight to a H.O. ctec!
you know they left a ton on the table with the 800. Larger TBs, W reeds, and makes same horsepower as a 2010 zuke... hmmm.

i also loved my 09 1000, got it down to same weight as polaris pro....engine worked to 189 hp and 137 lbs torque....gas pump turbos were toast, normally took race gas & 12 lbs boost and a long hill to come by me, and i put 4800 miles on it, no problems, changed pistons at 2400 miles, and mixed oil/gas myself, which i think contributed to engines longevity....don't miss the front end weight, but loved the power uphill in the deep...:face-icon-small-hap

I see more color choices and a few small changes like running boards are seat no big changes this year. That’s my guess, either way Cat is going to sell quite a few sleds this sled works very well.

The HO is impressive, not sure if it will come out in 20 or 21.
The shocks are definitely better on the 20.
The other tracks are nice options.
With the extra weightloss, i might even get the estart...

No sarcasm here, my 09 m1000 was my all time favorite.
3600 miles of pull and go. Loved that torque!

Part of me wants to blow this off as fake news... part of me remembers that you were right about the alpha last year, you even had the name right.
