Electric start question

I have a 2006 Summit 800 X that came with an electric start. I am trying to remove it since it does not work any more. I pulled the pipe off and was able to gain access to 2 bolts and removed them, but the started did not loosen up at all. Are there more bolts that I cannot see? Will I need to remove the clutch to gain access to the other bolts if there are more? Do I leave the bolt holes on the engine vacant after the starter is removed or should I put bolts back into it so they are not open?

It is just extra weight that is not needed. Thanks for help.

Remove the swaybar mount on the Left/clutch side and you will find a hole behind it, I used a 1/4 in. socket to get in there. You don't need to put the bolts back in.Also FYI if you remove your battery you need to change your wireing harness to a non E-start harness at the battery.
