Will an 800ecu work for a 900? Can it be reflashed to work on a 900cc properly?

We used an 800 ecu on a 900. Left the gas plug unplugged and put a pressure regulator on and raised the presure a little and ran great.
Yes it can be reflashed by cat. I had mine done on my 02 800 when I swapped the top end to the 900's.

Would you need to do the pressure regulator if you got the jets from the 800 also?

Just got off phone with the factory and he says definatly! Just need to confirm compatibility as well as ensure it is a good working ecu to start with! He says they get many in that are bad ecu units that people buy expecting them to be good.
