This is a Struthers built Polaris 797 small block motor. Built on an 04 Pro-X 600 bottom end, 727 cylinders and pistons with a stroked crank, 38 carbs bored to 41, v-force 3 reeds, billet polaris racing head cut for pump fuel, ported and blueprinted by struthers. Brand new crank seals, pistons and re-nic'd cylinders, full gasket set. Pre-mix only. Includes re-programmed cdi (for 93octane), wire harness, coil and carbs. This motor absolutely rips, will easily pull my big block 800 mod. I wish I could keep it for my next project but I need the $$$.
Bought this motor from a fellow member on here who said it was mint and that it would drop right in to my IQ. Tore it down on delivery to find the pistons/rings needed to be replaced, and that the Nicasil was chipped/cracked in both cylinders. Sweet. Anyway, got it all rebuilt, ran it for 5 miles and stuck the PTO piston from excessive water temp. Sent out cyl. once again for re-finishing and dropped another piston in it so it's ready to go. Will work in an IQ chassis with a little finesse (raise motor mounts for carb/jackshaft clearance), factory airbox lines right up. If it's going in an edge/rmk I've got a set of reed spacers to help increase the crankcase volume a bit.
This is easily a 4200.00 motor, looking for 3200.00 shipped. Open to reasonable offers. Also will include IQ airbox/snorkel if you need it.
