No new 800Ctec ? Wonder what the hold up is? Don't get me wrong I love the zuk, but they are falling behind.....

They have a reputation to uphold to. Current motor is very durable and that is what the AC 2-stroke crowd demands. If it's rushed and fails, it will be costly. Its not the poo crowd that just puts their heads in the sand.............

I could care less about getting the best fuel mileage...I want power and reliability (and a reliable buildable engine)(best in class)

My guess is lots of attention has been spent on their snowbike, won't see anything major on the sleds. I agree cat has a great 2016 sled but time for a change, their 600 ctec runs strong time for an 800 ctec and a weight loss program for the M8's if Cat wants to stay current.

--Only weight loss I would really want is lightweight hood and narrow side panels---I'll change out the can myself

--Remember, the reliable engine itself weighs about 10-15 lbs more than other not so reliable engines--don't mind keeping that weight either

I personally hope the Zuk is still in for 17 as I intend to pick up a 17 about this time next year, right before or after the release of the 18's. Although the 6000 c-tech2 has been great to me! "EPA friendly " or "efficient" has not translated into the 800's of the other MFG's as well as the 6's have so far. And we all know the Zuk is not "EPA" friendly which is a huge reason it lasts!
