Ram mount works excellent, I got the ubolt with ball to mount to the forward side of the bars and then a short extension that connects the gps holder and the mount. The extension give the holder the ability to articulate to best viewing angle and is below the top of the bars for clearance. Works like a champ!
I have the RAM mount setup and have been very happy with it. I got the longer connector so the GPS sits up higher so it's easier to read. Running a Garmin 60Csx with it. Has survived a couple rollovers on hard pack snow so far.
