I have aline on a 2007 M1000 Sno Pro with only 500 miles on it for 6k.....doe s this sound worth the change and is this sled too heavy. Would like to hear from any of you out there on a M1 or M8 and your opinions. I just came off a '05 RMK 900 and it was too heavy but I believe it was around 565 pounds....The M8 I was lookin at is a 2007 also with 200 miles for 7k.....which one would you recommend, consider the pricing I guess

thanks

The M1000 Sno-Pro for 6k sounds like a good deal. 7K for M8 is to much.

the m1000, first ride it might fell a little heavy but once you adjust the suspension and pull the stock can out of it you'll never know the difference between the m8 and m1 unless you are jumping from one to the other, but the power of a well tuned m1 will eat up the m8

When I jump off my 09 M1000 on to my wifes 08 M-8 I do notice the M-8 feels a bit easier to throw around. Lighter front end I guess. Line em up against one another and the 1000 makes the 800 look silly in a race though.:D

If I would do it over again I think I would lean towards a M-8 for its fun factor.

I think the power of the m10 is a lot more fun myself and personally after riding the m10 I can't feel the diff in weight, but i'm 6'6" and over 210lbs actually feels heavier because of the lack of power

I ride an 07 m8 and love it. My riding partner has the m1000 we race he wins. we climb he wins. And I actually like riding my M8 more than his 1000 just because of the weight diff. The M8 will go everywhere I want to go with power to spare. The m1 feels heavier and alot more power. In a drag race he pulls me by 2 sleds in the 1st 50 ft and then we are even except I am behind. They are both great sleds!
that said if I had your situation I would buy the m1 do the cheap mods to lighten up the front end and ride the heck out of it.
There really is not that much different and once you get used to it you will love it.
