I have 2017 Summit X 850 3” track with 1350 miles. Before unloading today I noticed my track is splitting/cracking at the base. I run my scratchers down at all times and try not to go over 40 on the trail to keep the heat down. Basically I baby it, stored inside etc. Lugs are basically mint other then one that is slightly split. I haven’t counted all the cracks but there seems to be a lot of them. Has anyone warranty claimed one like this?

Not uncommon on the flex edge tracks that are a few Years old and have been stored outside (UV Damage)

But not one stored inside.

Keep the pictures and start a claim with doo -- they will reject it for sure but once it delaminates you have a record of how it started.

Sometimes they go for ever looking like that.

I have a 2017 850 Summit X 154 3"and I reported mine in 2017 with less than 500 KM on it. The cracks are right at the end of the rods as well. My sled is stored indoors when not in use. Claim was not accepted however I'm still running the track and now have 2900 KM on it and the cracks haven't gotten any worse. I was going to change over to another track like an X3 however the Doo 3" does work very well for me.

Well that’s good to hear it hasn’t gotten worse. I’m just going to run it till it fails. Thanks for the replies!

Depends on your dealer. And your relationship with them.

What he said lol. I’d at least open a claim and see if your dealer is willing to press BRP for a new track. Your dealer is like your attorney in the warranty claim department.
