Has anyone installed one it says you have to drill into the cast aluminum on each side of the weld. What's you guys thoughts on this. I worry about weakening the already so called "brittle" cast.

I installed them. Have to drill to install skidplate.
Bumper fits with no drilling … except to drill out stock bumper rivets

Did you have any bad feelings about drilling into the cast or didnt worry about it
The cast where the frame / front suspension and engine mounts to … I did not drill as many as the premade holes in the skid plate.
The casting / frame is pretty thick and doubt there is any loss in structure integrity by drilling 4 or so holes in it.
