Want to pipe my 17 800 163 lie and looking for feedback on what everybody has . All riding at5-9000 ft. Not sure if a programmer is a benefit or not. What's everybody got?

I have the SLP stage 2 (pipe and can) on a 16 and 17, clean throttle response nice sound without being loud and some weight savings. I am not running a programmer but I am not sure about the 5000 ft. I think I would call SLP. We ride 7200 to 10500 with no problems and no hiccups at all.

Are you running there clutch kit or a clutch kit. They told me it would won't be shifting right without a clutch kit

We can mod your stock pipe here at T8RZ Porting and Performance. $250
Our local dealers demo 174 picked up a little over 400 rpm and holds it consistent when climbing in the deep.
The 155 demo picked up 450 rpm. Both sleds are ridden from 6000 to 10,000ft.

You could also achieve the correct RPM by clutching the sled right (weights) from the get go....

Same here and no complaints. Clutching changed out as well, but I'll be trying new clutching combo this year.

Ok, peaked my interest.. Does the character of the power change? And will it run safely at low elevation?

Been running the Bikeman single the last two years. Our riding is a bit lower than the range you're asking about, at 2500-7500'.
However real noticeable power increase. I ran it with a tuner (that nets you your best results) but you can (on my '16 anyways) just run in Eth mode and you're good to go.

The character of the pipe or power band so to speak is basically unchanged except that it pulls on through to the higher rpm and creates more hp.
It will work fine at sea level as the actual flow through the stinger is the same as stock on the low elevation version.
We've ran the high elevation version on the flat land at 500ft and it worked great.

I put the Slp pipe/can on my holdover ‘16 163 before it saw snow. Added 66g weights and let it rip. Spins 8450 all day long, 4500-8000’. Resistor installed, no programmer, non-eth mode. Pretty good combo imo.

Started out with an slp pipe and can on my 16 switched it out for a Bikeman pipe, ssi can, pcfc. This year I'm adding the Bikeman y pipe and bully dog. That is if I don't decide to put a turbo it. :biggrin1: Main reason I switched pipes was because the slp pipes where cracking.

Didn't slp address this problem? They used to crack around pipe temp sensor, now they use a wider/thicker circumference steel around the pipe sensor bung.
