2017 m8000 gas tank vent?

I have a new 2017 m8000 sno pro, I opened
the gas cap and I heard the sound of air being
released, I don't know if this is normal or
could there be a plugged vent tube to the tank ?seems like the gas tank had pressure in it. thanks

I do not know 100 percent but I believe the tank vents through the cap, cat has had some issues with the cap not releasing pressure especially if you left tank empty over the summer. The mountain cat and M had this issue. I would hope the proclimb addressed this problem.

Proclimbs have a one way valve in the vent line, so you can see pressure in the tank, say when your garage gets warm. One good thing is it will not leak when you roll the machine.
