Nice bike...the sx kit looks sweet!

But new thread just because people won't spend 15$ for a years worth of the most informative material about sleds and snowbikes you can find??

What size shafts are you guys using for your home brew kits? Im going to use an old jack shaft that I have. Its 1 1/8 seems overkill but just curious?

AK snowbike

I got it all finished up and have taken it for a couple runs on the lake. We are still short of snow here on the Kenai Peninsula. Everything ran well and other than needing to gear it up I am very happy. Now just wait for snow in the mountains. Modified M-10 seems to ride very smooth. Looking forward to some real riding in the mountains and comparison to my buddy's MH.

Track width

I narrowed a 121" x 15" x 2" down to 12.5" using a table saw.

This Is my 2012 WR 450 with a custom 136 by 11 inch track and a Sx Mountain horse Kit.

Are those the 136" timbersled rails or did you do extensions? Guessing all it took to do it was the track and the rails right?

I have the sx kit as well and if I need more floatation I was thinking about stretching it also.

Cool! For the amount of money already invested, why not splurge on timbersled MH side panels? Doesn't look like it would take much to get them to fit, and would really finish off your project!:face-icon-small-coo
