What could of caused this?

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I was thinking the same thing about the other side not looking lean compared to the other from the exhaust leak. I'm going to haul the carbs apart give it a good cleaning, repack crank bearings n add fresh seals, flush oil tank n lines, flush gas tank n lines add new filter , new dynoport y pipe and give that a try. Any other things I should do to insure I may not have this problem again?

Looks to me that the engine also may not have had a chance to warm up before the throttle was mashed. A little damage is done each time this happens until a major problem occurs and then we all think this happened at once on the day of the burn down.
