I have a 2016 M8000 Ltd 1100 miles the deflection adjusting bolt broke off the jam nut with a small piece of the bolt in it flew around and made 1 pass through the sheaves before i got stopped. Cat denied the warranty claim. the inner sheave belt surface has 2 small dings in it, should i just run it ? or get it machined and balanced ? Or replace it ?

little dings shouldnt hurt. if it runs just as it did i wouldnt worry about it. unless theyre big dings. dont be afraid to sand the sheaves lightly and evenly with finer sandpaper. leave the scratches center-out strokes. finish with scotch bright pad or steel wool.
