Clutch balancing needed after clutch kit install?

You don't need to but its not a bad idea.
I believe big jon @ SHR does, also indy specialties (not sure if he does doo ones). cascade clutch and performance does them as well.

Nope it does not need to be balanced after a kit is installed.
You can get it balanced if you wish tho.

If you didn't mark the 2 sheaves to put index them back in the same orientation the balancing could be off.
I always weigh each new weight to be sure they are the same before installing.
