It had to weigh a bunch because it was only 8 pounds lighter than an apex for a wet weight. They said it was only 36 heavier than the rev. More like 70 or 80.

The RT 1000 was a good idea. However the implementation was completely a joke. Can you say HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY. The motor was in the 140-150 lbs range I believe.
If they stuffed in a 1000, unless, Skidoo really really gets serious on weight loss of the sled and the motor. I would not want it.

You are soooo wrong!! It already did about 2 to 3 weeks ago. It's done. No more, nada, zip, zilch....
With the winter that we are having this year, they may be putting wheels and tires on the front instead of skis and figuring out some kind of fan for cooling and an oil bath for the hifax. Optional ATV tires and wheels so you don't have to stay on the trails. At least then we could ride. :face-icon-small-sad
What I have been told is that all of BRP's products are in for the same treatment that they gave their Spark watercraft this year: SIMPLIFICATION. Lighter weight. Less parts. Easier to work on. Less cost.
For sure Freeride will have 40" RAS 2, if not I am going to have the only one in existence for another year, lol.
I am sure the Summits will all be "T3" and the standards will be more of an SP model.

Rumor on the street is a new body. Hopefully narrowed panels and I'm sure the 154 3" since so many people wanted one and I think a 2nd gen or HO 800 etec which is already out in there 4 wheelers all I know as much as I love my 13 I am ready to snowcheck

I don't want 4 stroke. Thanks but no thanks. I would love to see a slightly narrower, 440#, simplified machine. Same motor, same track, same bat channel. Just lighter, narrower, and simpler.
Now if you could do all that in 4 stroke turbo and it's not attached to a snowbike....I might have to rethink my wish list.
