Bamboo Clothing company Rain Frog Apparel has partnered with Bright Pink to donate 20% of sales on two of its tees toward the Bright Pink breast cancer organization.

Rain Frog Apparel began with the simple mission of giving back to the planet, when founder Karen E. Spaeder’s young son asked for “liberty and justice for frogs” while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance one day. Now the bamboo clothing designer and online retailer is giving back yet again—this time to breast cancer research.

In partnership with Bright Pink, Rain Frog Apparel has agreed to donate 20 percent of each sale on its Renew and Simplify bamboo and organic cotton tees toward the Chicago-based breast cancer organization. This is in addition to the percentage given to environmental charities through Rain Frog’s membership in 1% for the Planet.

Bright Pink provides support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. In addition to providing these women with knowledge, options and a great attitude, Bright Pink offers companionship and empathy. The organization empowers them to take control of their breast and ovarian health so that they may gain peace of mind and live a happy, fulfilling life.

To “Shop for the Cause,” users may simply log on to Rain Frog's online shopping site, then click on the section for Women’s Bamboo and Organic Cotton, where they will find the Renew and Simplify tees. For additional information on Bright Pink and its partnership with Rain Frog Apparel, users may also visit Bright Pink's website.

“This partnership will allow us to expand our reach to include those affected by breast cancer,” says Spaeder. “We are pleased to be working with Bright Pink and furthering their cause.”

Started in 2007, Rain Frog Apparel is now sold online and in select retail locations in California, including Bambu Batu in San Luis Obispo, Adanias in Yorba Linda, and LoLo's in downtown Fullerton, near Rain Frog's company headquarters. With additional expansion plans and new bamboo items planned for 2008, Rain Frog remains committed to its mission of giving back.
