Out of the manual

Offset tool 0644-427 1.655 offset
clutch puller 0644-207

I'm not sure about these as Free Agent got me aftermarket tools that were cheaper! BTW - my offset was dead-on so if people need some shims I have both sizes - didn't need any of them :)

I believe the 1.507 is the correct alignment bar if you have the 10.4" secondary.

The 1.655 was for the 10" secondarys on the 04 zr900,05 zr900/firecat and 06 crossfire/Mseries

And everybody pretty much came to the conclusion the 1.655 bar was junk and not to use it.

Thats when everybody starting shimming their secondarys by taking the bolt off the secondary and letting it float on the DD splined shaft while running the sled on a stand. Letting it center itself then measuring and installing enough shims to keep it there.

no they can not have any float to them

i had to cut .050 off the back side of the steel splined hub on my secondary to be in specs when using the 1.507 bar.

All I know is that 1.655 is what it says to use in the manual, and my clutches lined up perfectly with it. Every time I have felt my clutches after hard pulls they have never been hot to the touch, so I think they are in proper alignment, and also verified by the tool.

I don't believe my 08 manual gives you a number for the correct bar to use or at least I could not find it.

The style chassis should have no bearing on which bar to use but the size of the secondary should.

In the past before dd, they never specifed a bar to a certain chassis because it doesn't matter, you are aligning the clutches.

I would have been screwed if I needed a chassis specific bar for my zr900 powered drag quad!
