Short tracking my KK

Well after trying to deal on a flat land sled today, a 04 pro x 600... and the dealer nit picking my KK... on my 3.5 hr drive home, got an idea. What would it take to short track my KK.. thinking of a 144" track.

144" skid and track.
Then a track shaft with the right pitch - do they make a 144 with 3 pitch track?

Then would probably have to do a tunnel swap would it b nesseaary? Guessing means id be loosing roughly 10" of skid and would look goofy...

So if I found a mc that would b parting out and got all these parts would it bolt in? Track shaft.fit with the KK setup?
Biggest deal would be swapping the heat exchangers.. any help on this idea would be great.

Pm will be on the way. I have thought of 153 a lot of them around here. But not sure if its short enough... if we actually go west this year id love it. But for trail riding here and up north. Not sure what I'm gonna end up doing. Throwing around ideas

My 2 cents is if the track is original or attack 20, cut the paddles down to about 1 inch and gear up a tooth or 2.The old attack 20 track is not worth much so try that before you buy a bunch of parts.

Neat idea, backwards for Snowest, but neat idea. Much less work, sell the KK, buy a ZR. Well, I guess since you want a 144/141, never mind. :)
Leave the tunnel, short track it, run it. If you munch the tunnel, then cut it down.
144 3.0 pitch kinda blew my mind, lol. Possible mathematically, but I have no idea. I have had a few beers though. ;)

I've seen two 144 KK's that Vohk set up for folks out here.

Honestly if it were me I'd find a way to run the 146x16 track.

The 144 3 pitch CE 2.5 (old design) is what one guy had, and it worked great.

As to the tunnel, no need to swap the whole thing, just the back 1/2... real easy job (I think shorter cooling lines were needed too, but can't remember.)

A track shaft out of a MC with a 2.52 will work just fine in your chaincase. Just went the other way on my sons sled to a 3.0 shaft from a King.

PS if you want to sell your Kings 3.0 drive shaft let me know.

You could get a cat 141 PowerClaw 2.25 that is 3 in pitch. They used em on the old m7s and the new 2012+ Proclimb XF 800/1100/1100T High Country sleds.
