Has anyone played around with loosening there limiter strap. What positions did you try and how much more of a wheelie monster is it?

I'm just the opposite. I'm going to go one hole tighter to keep it from trying to wheelie so much. I can't believe how good this track hooks up. Curious how it will do in spring snow.

Sounds like kx250 is a 165 and Whittaker is a 154.
My 165 won't wheelie for crap.
Sure it will pull the skis 3-4ft off the ground but it won't go 80°. My 18 162 would pull some decent wheelies. Still nothing like my 153

I asked the question on the facebook post about the bolt pulling through the strap and how that was possible with washers on each side. He answered part of my question but not about the washers...

No mine is a 154. It wheelies like crazy how it came stock I just wanted to mess with it but the strap is a little weird. And I was concerned about it pulling through so was just wanting to hear some opinions. I loosened it up and it wheelies even more ha. Fun to ride still

Tighten it up its waaaaaaay better.

I had this same question on my '18 162 mountain cat. FTS is about 65. RTS is 150. I'm 200 lbs.Even on lockout it seems to trench more than is ideal for climbing. Bought this sled with about 300 miles. Noticed it has the limiter strap all the way out. What is recommended for best all around performance? How do they come stock? Think I'll play with it a little but interested in your experience.

IME, no need to mess with limited strap to keep the front end down. Lower your FTS pressure to 60 psi or slightly less. Rear to 140+. I’m 180-190 and run 60 FTS and 150 RTS and will be putting a little more in the FTS to make it slightly more playful. Almost too planted at those pressures.

on my 18 162.
Limiter all the way out (factory).
85 fts
120 rts.
190lb rider with 25lbs of gear.

Did not trench, wheelies were very controllable.
Very playful and fun boondocking .
