Have a friend with an 06 700. Early season ride + stump = left side black fender broken. Part is discontinued from Polaris. I can't find anything new or used from the 06 but I have found a used 05 LH fender. Parts fiche shows different number so there is something different.

Question is, can it be made to work? If so, what is necessary?

Thanks,

Color change on the 2005... but same mold.

Many from 2005 are the grey 'anniversary' color.

A black fender from a 2006 900/700 is the same part number, 2633264-070 , on a 2005 900... from what I remember.

Remember, the 2005 '700' is an edge chassis.

Thanks MH.

06 700/900 black p/n is 2633264-070, 070 is the color code for the black.
05 900 black p/n is 5435765-070

So the first 7 digits are different which makes me think something is different in the part, but it could be something as simple as rivet locations or the likes. I'm guessing the general molding is the same, must minor differences that either won't make a difference or that could readily be "fixed".

At this point I can find 06 ones that are blue or 05 ones that are black. Dealer suggested buying the blue and painting it black, but not sure black paint is going to work well.

Going to give it a couple of days and see if someone out there in snowest land has a black 700/900 they are parting out. 06 700/900 RMK and 900 Switchback are the same part. Turns out I think there were more non-black ones built than black ones between the blue and the grey/silver.
