Track studs. Is anyone finding them necessary on the trail in? And if so, who has them on theirs?

You don't need to follow the trail. If the snow is too hard, just dive off into the trees. I did put scratchers on mine though.

I was thinking for the explorer it might keep the track from swinging all over when you're on icey hardpack? Keep ya more in a straight line? I'd be worried about them trying to come out and cutting that plastic cover all to hell. Anybody have them on an explorer?

bigbull, if you are riding in on icy roads to the riding area then get some.
