I'm new to the snowbike club, as I've just picked up an explorer kit for my WR450F. I was wondering what people use to prevent snow getting into the air intake area. It there a sock to put over the opening or should I just rivet on a pantyhose over the opening under the seat?

Looking forward to getting the explorer kit out there. It will go nicely with my 159" Snowhawk!

The YZ I have came with a pod and filterskin similar to our Hawks, remove the airbox. I've also seen 2Moto go a step further and fasten a powderscreen material surrounding where the airbox was. Wrap the header with heat tape while your at it, it will be too late when you feel it on your leg!
