I have a 08 XP Summit X 800R
Last winter the crank broke on this sled. (imagine that :face-icon-small-dis)
Ski Doo put a new motor in it over the summer so I was unable to ride it.
Now i'm getting ready to ride, and I noticed that the belt is tight to the motor
side of the primary clutch. this doesn't look right to me. It looks like the secondary clutch need to be shimmed out or the motor need to be moved over. The secondary clutch is easy to shim on just about every other sled, but not sure how to adjust it on this sled. Or is this the correct position of the belt and when the motor flexes under power, it will be in line?
Any info would be great.
Thanks

Loosen all the motor mounts. The rear left mount, behind the primary needs slotted with a die grinder. Slot approx. 4mm. Then push motor over to the right and check that primary and secondary x and y are within limits. The belt should be at least .020 off of the inner sheave of the primary.
