Scroll through the pictures on this and tell me what you think. Looks like a belt drive and single cylinder engine of some sort, Rear- exit exhaust, and more. Also noticed the drivers look like the alpha style centered drivers. Kinda seems like a 3/4 size sled.

Also the description mentions some design elements, including the opening hood, running boards extending further forward than the driveshaft, and a few other interesting ideas.

It wouldn't let me save the pics otherwise I would've posted them here.

Not sure what to the think of the motor used in the picture, but I think looking at that misses the bigger picture. With that drivetrain and exhaust configuration that sled could be EXTREMELY narrow, been wondering when we would see this.

Running boards are super far forward as well. Cool stuff, thanks.

My thoughts exactly. The description specifically mentions the engine bay being narrower than the running boards, and the running boards going at least partially into the engine bay.

It will be a single cylinder two stroke. Basically half of a 600 or 800. Light and narrow with okay power for a youth sled.

Patent states could be 1cyl or more, 2stroke or 4stroke.

doing more reading it says that #404 is indeed a cyclone filter. not sure why you need that on a sled, that's more of an offroad, quad, side by side deal where you have dirt. #1202 is a radiator so assuming some type of 4s motor?

The thing that has me thrown off is the front shock location. I believe it is either one of two things.

1. Youth mtn sled- tunnel dump exhaust, and what appears to be the mono skid.

2. Half sled Half snow bike?- I could see this, especially if they put like a 500cc 2stroke (yamaha's yz490)

Edit: The more I look at it, the more the engine looks like a 2 stroke dirt bike engine.

Cyclone filter with its fins might help dampen intake noise without being overly restrictive.

The engine reminds me a lot of the liquid cooled Polaris 400cc 2s ATV engines from the mid 90s: single cylinder with a recoil and drive clutch attached. Intake/exhaust sharing the same side of the engine is distinctly Cat of course.

Front shock illustration doesn't matter much, just shows it has a front suspension. If it was a patent for the front suspension it would much more detailed there.
