I am in the process of changing my 2002 Summit Highmark X from a 151 to a 162. I have changed the drivers to 7 tooth to make a lot more room upfront for my 16x 2.25 track. I curently have rail extensions on the sled, however I want to find a set of rails that are long enough to use instead. Anyone know what I can use rails off of to not need rail extensions. They will end up needing to be 64in long from front to back. If anyone has done this before and knows what to use please let me know. thanks

I'm wondering if the rails from a 2000 700 hm would work. That was before they dropped and slid the front of the skid back improving attack angle. Pretty sure they're longer. If you're going 162 do you think a 15" would handle better? I considered doing the same thing with my 02 800 as well.

Yeah I thought of that, however I think that will only be enough for a 159, plus I put on 7 tooth drivers so that requires even more length. I already had a 16 in 151 on my sled so that is why I went with a 16 162. I weigh 210lbs so I need all the flotation I can get sometimes.

'IF' the Rev rails will work, I would get Ice Age in the 162 length with the 8 or 9 inch wheel. Not a bad price at $350.00 pair, top notch quality!

Was the 07 rail a direct bolt on? That is good to hear, I should be able to find a set of 159 rails off of a 07xrs I would think. I think that the rail extensions would be fine, I just like the look of that right size rails.

I have 1 good straight 159 XRS rail if you would like to pay shipping it's yours!

Same here like the look of just right rails. Yes they were a bolt on and go (I did lose i set of outside wheels.) . It also lets you go to a big wheel which helps. Maybe some one could measure the 159 rails for you.

when i did it to mine this year i took 159 and then modify a set of rail extenisons to make up the difference. They where i think 4 inch rail extension modify so was about 2 inch to make it up.

Nice looking ZX chassis, I always liked the blue ones.
I would look at buying a newer skid in 162, any of the newer skids are going to ride better.
