I'm Dan from Aurora, Colorado and I just picked up a 1979 Arctic Cat Lynx from a guy who said it ran last winter (he drove it to the place I picked it up). He couldn't find the key and doesn't even remember if it ever had a key. I cannot detect any spark out of the spark plug wires (I disconnected the plug wires, laid them on the cylinder heads and pulled (rope start) the engine over in the dark). The ignition key turned via a screwdriver but to be double sure, I cross connected the ignition key wires and the kill switch wires to make sure those weren't the reason for no spark. I'm a back yard mechanic but I don't know much about snowmobiles so any suggestions anyone can give about what my next step might be would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
