03 summit 700 wont idle

Hi everyone,

I have an 03 summit 700 that I have recently started having idling issues with. When I start it up or come to a stop it idles for a few seconds and then slowly dies. I have found that it idles perfectly when the choke is half open and there is isn't a lack of power. When I run it with the choke off it has a lack of power at first but as I give it more throttle it takes off and runs perfectly. The carbs have been pulled a cleaned and now I have no idea what to do. Can anyone help me out. Thanks

LOOK AT THE 6TH POST I KNOW I PREACH ABOUT CARB BOOTS BUT HAVE FOUND THIS TO BE MANY OF THE BOG AND IDLE PROBLEMS....

when wre the carbs cleaned last? sounds like the pilot jets may be dirty or clogged with tarnish not supplying enough fuel, that's why when you engage the choke it idles ok.

Reset air screws, fuel screws and replace pilot jets.

Thanks for the help. I cleaned the injectors, cleaned the carbs again and I had to adjust one of the screws way out, but it is running great.
