Are you having trouble finding these new? Are you a shoe size 15? If so, the 15s won't even come close. I wear a shoe size 12 and use the 15 boots. I could fit into a smaller boot, but I like them a bit roomy inside.
BTW, the wire thingies are called a Boa system. I love the Boas and have my whole family converted. My kids now just wear their snowboard boots whenever we go sledding.
