Alright, just out of curiosity, is overheating the reason your signature says you rebuilt your engine. If it is, just keep in mind that that's probably only part of the story. The '01 800 MC's had some pretty hot timing from the factory and have a tendency to run on the lean side at part throttle (trail riding). If you ride at low elevation with plenty of snow to cool, they can still burn down because of the timing and the lean spot.

Just be sure to play with the throttle on the trails until you hit the good stuff.
