So I am looking at getting a gooseneck for my sled trailer. I have looking at a Featherlite 1641. The base price is right around $20k. I can obviously get a lot more trailer for the $ if I go steel. My biggest concern is longevity being that a majority of my towing will be in the midwest where salt is king. How long will a decent steel trailer last? I don't want to have to rebuy a $20,000 trailer every 4-5 seasons. The main brands I am looking at are Charmac and Logan. Opinions? Should I bite the bullet and go with a Featherlite or Mission?

Thanks!

My dad has a 24' 1995 Haulmark. It's showing its age. A fair amount of rust. It's a good gauge of the 1995 technology longevity.

I just bought a 2019 Logan. Love it so far. It's heavy, but it pulls so so so nicely. Obviously I can't talk about it's longevity and durability yet.

I sure love my mission but it's a bumper pull next on will be a mission gooseneck. Not a single complaint about my trailer. It's 5 years old
